Shelter Attendant - Full Time & Per Diem

If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding position? Bread of Life Ministries is now hiring for a full time Shelter Attendant position. The pay rate for this position is $17.43 per hour.

We are offering a $1,000 Sign on Bonus, 1st installment after successful completion of a 90 probationary period 2nd installment after completion of one year.

Experience working with people with diverse backgrounds is a must, such as homelessness, substance abuse, and mental illness. Applicants should be able to access community supports and resources, as well as the ability to work independently and as a team.

Job duties include displaying the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment, maintaining guest safety, treating guests with dignity, respect, and compassion, conducting screening and intakes for new clients entering shelter system, attending to telephone inquiries, ensuring guests follow rules and policies of the shelter, performing hourly security checks, and working collaboratively with clients and other staff.

Bread of Life is committed to modeling and maintaining a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere for clients at the shelter. Candidate must be able to pass pre-employment screening. Shifts could include nights and/or weekends.

Full Time Benefits

Holidays: BOLM recognizes (11) holidays. If a Shelter Attendant works a Holiday, then Holiday pay is offered for the hours worked
Overtime: Also, the potential to receive Overtime
Sick Leave: (64 ) hours sick time is granted per calendar year to all full-time employees with the first year of employment prorated.
Vacation Time: (80) hours of Vacation time is granted per calendar year. In your first calendar year of hire, vacation will be prorated.
Personal Time Off: 24 hours All full-time employees are entitled to personal time, in your first calendar year of hire, vacation will be prorated.
Health Insurance: BOLM offers Community Health Options Health Insurance. BOLM covers the employee's premium.
Dental: BOLM offers Delta Dental, but this plan is paid by the employee.
IRA: BOLM offers the opportunity to participate in an IRA plan through Fidelity. BOLM will match up to 3% of the employee's salary.
